Course Information
County Louth Golf Club — often referred to simply as Baltray — was established in 1892.
The club originally began with a 9-hole course, and it later moved to its current linksland at Baltray in 1909. The course you see today was significantly redesigned in 1938 by the renowned golf course architect Tom Simpson,
The front nine gradually works its way out toward the coastline, offering a mix of strategic par 4s and challenging par 3s framed by rugged dunes. The back nine turns for home and becomes increasingly dramatic, with several holes running alongside the sea and requiring golfers to carefully judge the ever-present coastal winds.
Baltray is known for its firm, fast-running fairways, deep revetted bunkers, and subtly contoured greens
