Co Louth Golf Club

Baltray Golf Club, officially known as County Louth Golf Club, is one of Ireland’s finest traditional links courses. Located on the stunning coastline of County Louth, just north of Dublin, the course offers breathtaking views of the Mourne Mountains

With its rich championship heritage—having hosted the Irish Open and numerous prestigious amateur events—it offers visiting golfers an unforgettable experience of authentic Irish links golf

Course Information

County Louth Golf Club — often referred to simply as Baltray — was established in 1892.

The club originally began with a 9-hole course, and it later moved to its current linksland at Baltray in 1909. The course you see today was significantly redesigned in 1938 by the renowned golf course architect Tom Simpson,

The front nine gradually works its way out toward the coastline, offering a mix of strategic par 4s and challenging par 3s framed by rugged dunes. The back nine turns for home and becomes increasingly dramatic, with several holes running alongside the sea and requiring golfers to carefully judge the ever-present coastal winds.

Baltray is known for its firm, fast-running fairways, deep revetted bunkers, and subtly contoured greens

Located in the charming seaside village of Baltray in County Louth, County Louth Golf Club sits just under an hour north of Dublin Airport, making it easily accessible for international visitors beginning their Irish golf journey. Set along the beautiful east coast of Ireland
