Course Information

Ardglass Golf Club was established on June 28, 1896, when a group of local men met in the stables behind what is now the clubhouse to form the club.

Notably, Ardglass Golf Club is home to what is considered the world's oldest clubhouse, dating back to 1405. Originally a series of 15th-century warehouses, the structure was converted into a castellated house in the late 18th century and became the clubhouse in 1911.

Clifftop Holes: The opening holes are perched dramatically along the cliffs, offering breathtaking views and a stern test of golf.

Coastal Challenges: Holes 10 through 12—comprising a par-3, par-5, and another par-3—are particularly noteworthy. These holes play directly along the coastline, requiring precise shots over the sea and offering an exhilarating experience.

Signature Hole: The par-5 11th hole stands out as a signature challenge. It demands accuracy, with gorse and thick rough to the left and the ocean to the right.

30 miles south of Belfast. Perched along the rugged northeastern coastline, the course offers panoramic views of the Irish Sea from every hole, with the majestic Mourne Mountains. The climate at Ardglass is characteristic of coastal Northern Ireland, with mild temperatures and variable weather patterns. In May, average daytime temperatures hover around 16°C (61°F), with nighttime lows around 8°C (46°F) . The region experiences a mix of sunny intervals and cloudy periods, with occasional showers. Wind is a significant factor, often influencing play and adding to the course's challenge
