Royal County Down Golf Club, situated in Newcastle, Northern Ireland, is celebrated as one of the world's premier links courses. Established in 1889 and originally designed by Old Tom Morris, the Championship Links offers a challenging layout with natural bunkering and blind shots, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Mourne Mountains and Dundrum Bay. The club has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the Irish Open and the Walker Cup, and consistently ranks among the top golf courses globally.

Course Information 

Established on March 23, 1889. A group of influential business and professional men from Belfast founded the club, and it has since become one of the most renowned golf courses in the world

The course typically plays around 7,200 yards with a par of 71, demanding precision and strategic play over long distances.

Signature Holes:

The 4th hole, a long par 3, is famous for its deep bunkers guarding a narrow green surrounded by dunes.

The 9th hole requires a well-placed tee shot over a valley to reach the fairway beyond.

Situated in Newcastle, County Down, Northern Ireland, within the Murlough Nature Reserve. The course is framed by the majestic Mourne Mountains to the south and the Irish Sea to the north, offering stunning views and a challenging links golfing experience.
