Cruit Island Golf Club was established in 1986 as a natural 9-hole links course on the rugged Atlantic coast of County Donegal, Ireland
Cruit Island Golf Club is a true natural 9-hole links course set right on the rugged Wild Atlantic coastline in County Donegal. The layout plays as a par 68 (par 34 for nine holes), with a total length of around 2,570–2,810 yards depending on tees used. The routing features seven par-4s and two par-3s, with sweeping ocean views and strategic wind-influenced golf throughout.
One of the most memorable holes is the 6th, a short but dramatic par-3 played over rocks and surf with the Atlantic crashing below
Playing conditions are shaped by the coastal winds and ever-changing weather that the Atlantic brings, so be ready for brisk breezes, shifting conditions, and breathtaking seaside vistas year-round — a true links experience.
Getting there is part of the adventure. Cruit Island is connected to the mainland by a small road bridge just north of Kincasslagh village, near Dungloe
